Our commitment to ‘learning’ takes other forms, as well. In our ongoing series of seminars we showcase a roster of experienced lecturers, those whose expertise and enthusiasm make learning a most enjoyable experience. This lecture will cover some of Renee’s favorite tips and tricks to create diverse eye-catching photographs of people.
About Renee Robyn
Growing up surrounded by the vast prairie of the Canadian north and tales of faraway places, Renée Robyn has chased the perfect backdrop around the world. Approaching photography like a treasure hunter, her compositions are uniquely cinematic, often becoming pieces of a bigger world represented beyond reality. Renée’s style is easily recognizable and distinctly her own. Expertly blending fact, fiction, and a little digital alchemy, she has worked with industry-leading brands like Wacom, Viewsonic, Corel, Capture One, and Intel.
Comfortable facing down gale force winds, climbing fog-shrouded mountains or fast pace commercial studios, her work is impressive and committed. An expert retoucher, Renée applies the same level of commitment to post-processing leveraging her mastery of colour theory, editing, light, and shadow in the digital realm of Photoshop.

FUJIFILM Presents: Bryan Minear's Epic American Southwest Journey with the GFX100S

Join Fujifilm X-Photographer Bryan Minear as he walks through his firsthand experience with the Fujifilm GFX100S. Bryan took the camera on a landscape photography adventure to the American Southwest to show off what this new 102 megapixel powerhouse is capable of. He will talk through his favorite features and show lots of images he created along the 1,000+ mile journey.
About Bryan Minear
Bryan Minear is a Michigan-based designer, photographer, father, & Star Wars nerd. From a young age Bryan was inspired by Ansel Adams’ ethereal landscape work, which paved the direction he wanted to go as an artist.
Bryan’s always showed interests in cameras and technology from a young age, but it wasn’t until college where he was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design that started shooting and developing film in the darkroom. He fell in love with the process and soon picked up a DSLR to supplement his design work.
Before he knew it he was teaching himself to use off-camera strobe lighting for portraits and building a business. After a couple of years, he realized that the business was not something that he enjoyed in the slightest and a creative renaissance started to occur.
In 2015 he decided to pursue fine art photography as a primary creative outlet. Before long, he started gaining some steam on instagram and attracting clients large and small. Since then he has been shooting landscape, lifestyle, and commercial photography as a career while still working a full time job as a Graphic Designer.
His goal is to portray atmosphere and emotion through his work, hether he is shooting locally in the Midwest, or traveling and teaching around the world.

About Irene Rudnyk
Irene Rudnyk is a Calgary based portraiture photographer, educator, content creator and Canon Canada Ambassador. About Irene Rudnyk First picking up a camera around 11 years ago, Irene began her photographic journey by regularly using her sister Orysia as her main subject.
Since then, Irene has been captivated and inspired by feminine beauty, using the camera to capture her subjects in a more creative, romantic manner.
Preferring to keep full creative control over her photoshoots, Irene often multitasks, taking on the role of stylist or creative director and sometimes acts as makeup and hair artist as well. While the subject is always the focus of her images, Irene also puts a lot of thought into the environment and details of the photo, not striving for realism, but rather a visually pleasing and feminine version of the finished product.
With the goal of inspiring others, Irene created a Youtube channel to share her creative projects and help other photographers, by sharing tutorials, behind the scenes and DIY videos that demonstrate how to use simple techniques, simple setups and natural light to create beautiful images.

Events Payment & Cancellation Policy
- All Vistek events, workshops and seminars begin promptly at listed times
- Pre-registration and payment in full is required
- In the event of a program cancellation or postponement, pre-registered patrons will be notified
- Customers may re-book or cancel registrations up to 48 hours prior to the program date
- All cancellations are subject to a $10 cancellation fee
- Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made later than 48 hours prior to program or workshop date
- In the event of severe weather, classes may be postponed without notice if an instructor is unable to attend
- Vistek reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program without notice
